We are having our first snowfall here in TN. It is not much but it is beautiful! I know this sounds weird from a teacher, but I am hoping NOT to have a snow day tomorrow. I know, I know why would I say that! We only have three and a half days this week before Christmas Break and I have so much I need to get done at school. Tomorrow is the only real day I have this week. Tuesday we have a field trip to an assisted living facility where we will be singing carols and passing our cookies. We have a little program planned and we are hopefully going to get to practice it tomorrow. I took off work on Wednesday to go on a field trip with Samuel and then we have Christmas parties Thursday morning and dismiss at 11:00. I am looking forward to having two weeks off of school. We will be home the first week and then we are heading to Illinois on Christmas Day. Jeremy will be flying out to Liberty the day after Christmas to finish his last class (well until he starts his Dr.). The kids and I will be staying with my parents. My sister and brother will also be up there for part of the week, so it will be nice to spend some time with them.

Well the kids are doing pretty good. I had Sam at the doctor on Thursday with an ear infection but he seems to be fine after a few days of antibiotics. Emma and Chloe have a runny nose but nothing major. Chloe has a huge scratch across her face thanks to Emma and she tells everyone we see what happened. The other day Chloe was showing someone her scratch and Emma yells,"Chloe why are still mad at me!"  I have also been feeling OK. The cold weather has been a little rough on my body but seems to be adjusting. I go back to the doctor tomorrow afternoon to make sure the medicine I am on is doing what it is supposed to be doing. Last Friday night I went in for a sleep study and I have to say it was the worst thing I have EVER had to do! If your doctor every suggest you have one run away as fast as you can! I know dramatic, but I am serious, it was horrible! I was supposed to go last Thursday to follow up with the doctor but I cancelled the appointment. I want nothing else to do with any type of sleep studies. The truth is that I have been sleeping better since I am now on some medicine and I think my other problems stem from my gigantic tonsils.

Well that is what we have been up to the past few weeks. The kids are so excited about Christmas even though Samuel keeps informing everyone that Santa is not real, he is just a man in a costume. Yes, he is the son of straight talking Jeremy Riggs. Well thanks to our neighbor we have internet. I am not sure how long he will let us use it but I am hoping it will last.

 Oh, hey. Just dropping in to unload the million thoughts going on in my head. I know it's been awhile and once again I am writing this from my phone, so please excuse any mistakes. I am wearing my reading glasses since the last time I posted so maybe writing from my phone won't be as bad as it usually is.   I'm a little bit of a mess these days and I am entering the time of the year that is the hardest on me emotionally,  mentally,  and spiritually. These next few months are filled with dates that broke me. There are dates the next few months that take me back to the darkest days I have experienced.  I enter this fight with the demons that seemed to have attached themselves to me 22 years ago. Praise Jesus, He gave me victory from those demons, but this time of year they like to rear their ugly heads and I struggle.   "I live with a difficult child. That is really hard to write, but the truth is that I have lived with a difficult child for about 14 years. The last few years have been unbearable at times."  I haven't written a post in a long time. The main reason is that I don't have a personal computer (my work computer will not let me log in with my personal email) and I absolutely hate writing from my phone, but here I am needing to write,so I write. I could be found most nights just crying in my bathroom or screaming, "I can't live in this house with her anymore!" Wednesday, October 26, 2011- You are cordially invited...to my pity party

Okay. So life has been hard these past few weeks. Well, maybe not life in general, but I have been having a rough time. So, I am choosing to have myself a little pity party. If you would like to join me, keep reading. I do not talk much about my fibromyalgia. One, I do not like to complain and I feel like I am just a big complainer when I do talk about it. Two, the truth is that if you do not have it you cannot fully wrap your mind or sympathy around the pain I feel every day of my life. Over the past two years I really have learned to live with it. My husband and kids would see a glimpse of my pain, but I even tried to hide it from them. I really struggle with letting people know my own hurt and pain. Almost a year ago I was finally diagnosed and was able to get a mild relief from the intense pain.
