It is hard to believe that it has been a week since I was at the orphanage. We worked a half of day last Thursday. We played with the girls for a few hours and then said our painful good-byes. Meeting those girls and hearing their stories has forever changed my life and I am so thankful for that experience. After we said good-bye we loaded our bus and headed to Antigua. Thursday night and Friday were set aside for us to relax and have some free time. We got to Antigua and got ready for supper. I started to not feel so well. We went to eat and I knew I was getting sick. One of the guys walked me back to our hotel and for the next 12 hours I was sick. I was so sick! About every three hours I found myself in the bathroom vomiting and diarrhea. I was miserable and did not think I would ever feel better again! I got up Friday morning and went to one of the markets to do some shopping. I was really weak and still felt bad but I had not gotten any souvenirs so I decided to get out for a little while. I got a few items and headed back to the hotel and back to bed. I slept for about 6 1/2 hours and felt so much better. I went to dinner with a few people from my team. I ate very light and then was back in bed by 9:00 that night. Thankfully I woke up Saturday morning and my stomach was growling so I new the worst was over. We had a few hours before we had to load to leave so I got out and did a little more shopping in Antigua and get a better look at the beautiful city. We loaded up about 11:00 and started our journey back home. We landed in Nashville about 11:00 Saturday night.

I am very blessed that I was able to have this experience. I am still in awe at the support I received from friends and family to help me go on this trip. Thanks again for all your support and prayers! This trip has changed my life. I wish I could put into words the things that I have learned but I cannot. As silly as it sounds I am glad that my heart was broken during this trip. It has rekindled some passion in my own life that had kind of fizzled out and it softened my heart toward things that break God heart. My vision of this world has been refocused.

Well, we are on a new journey. We left this morning and headed North. We are spending the night at my parent's house and then Jeremy and I are leaving tomorrow to spend a few days in Chicago. We will be driving around the city and praying and seeking God's direction for us. We are hoping to have clear direction on where God is wanting us to live in minister once we move up to Chicago. If you think of us over the next few days please pray for us. We will be returning to my parents on Saturday and doing a service at their church on Sunday.
