I want to thank you for your encouraging words after my last post. It was nice to get that off my chest and it was nice to hear some encouragement. I know the discouragement will continue to come from all around, but we are determined to press on to what we know in our heart is God's leading on our life. I know I have been pleading for some concrete confirmation and although I have not gotten it on our side, we have been completely amazed at how God is already working in Albany Park and how many connections we have made with people we have never met that are preparing for us even before we get there.

We had our first "snow" day on Friday. It snowed some Thursday night, but the real danger was the wet roads that turned to ice by Friday morning. My birthday was Saturday so I got a great present in the form of a four-day weekend! We got out Friday afternoon and I used some of my Christmas gift cards on a new comforter set for our room. Saturday I got to sleep in and then Jeremy and I went to eat at Logan's and went to see the new Sherlock Homes movie. The kids stayed with Gran and Papa. We had a relaxing evening at home. Yesterday was church and then we headed to Janna's house in Nashville for a birthday lunch with Jeremy's family for me and his brother, Jacob. I also found a Macy's gift card last week that I had gotten last year at Christmas from one of my students. I was able to get a $70 jacket for $25! It came Saturday so it felt like another birthday present:) Today I had to get some groceries so I took Chloe with me while the others stayed home. It was nice to spend some time with just her (she is very sweet when she is the only one:) and I do not trust her when I am not at home. The rest of the day has been spent cleaning and my next class has started. Thankfully it is online so I do not have to be gone any night, unfortunately it is a math class so it will probably stress me out more than any other class I have taken. I am not sure how to overcome my fear of math! If you think of me, pray specifically that I will understand what I am doing:)

Well, I better get going. I need to finish getting the laundry put away. Here are a few pictures of our weekend. I forgot to mention that Sam lost his third tooth this weekend. The other tooth already came in behind it so you cannot tell he lost it. He has now lost three teeth on the bottom and I am hoping he will lose the ones on the top soon!

 Oh, hey. Just dropping in to unload the million thoughts going on in my head. I know it's been awhile and once again I am writing this from my phone, so please excuse any mistakes. I am wearing my reading glasses since the last time I posted so maybe writing from my phone won't be as bad as it usually is.   I'm a little bit of a mess these days and I am entering the time of the year that is the hardest on me emotionally,  mentally,  and spiritually. These next few months are filled with dates that broke me. There are dates the next few months that take me back to the darkest days I have experienced.  I enter this fight with the demons that seemed to have attached themselves to me 22 years ago. Praise Jesus, He gave me victory from those demons, but this time of year they like to rear their ugly heads and I struggle.   "I live with a difficult child. That is really hard to write, but the truth is that I have lived with a difficult child for about 14 years. The last few years have been unbearable at times."  I haven't written a post in a long time. The main reason is that I don't have a personal computer (my work computer will not let me log in with my personal email) and I absolutely hate writing from my phone, but here I am needing to write,so I write. When I logged on this evening I found that I had started to write a post on May 23, 2022, but never finished it. We had just come off one of the most difficult years with Chloe. I could be found most nights just crying in my bathroom or screaming, "I can't live in this house with her anymore!" Her treatment towards me had escalated so intensely that I didn't even speak to her for several days and I was a little afraid of her. Wednesday, October 26, 2011- You are cordially invited...to my pity party

Okay. So life has been hard these past few weeks. Well, maybe not life in general, but I have been having a rough time. So, I am choosing to have myself a little pity party. If you would like to join me, keep reading. I do not talk much about my fibromyalgia. One, I do not like to complain and I feel like I am just a big complainer when I do talk about it. Two, the truth is that if you do not have it you cannot fully wrap your mind or sympathy around the pain I feel every day of my life. Over the past two years I really have learned to live with it. My husband and kids would see a glimpse of my pain, but I even tried to hide it from them. I really struggle with letting people know my own hurt and pain. Almost a year ago I was finally diagnosed and was able to get a mild relief from the intense pain.
