Friday, May 25, 2012- Another change of plans!
So if you have not noticed, I gave up on blogging the past few months. The truth is that my life was swamped with so much other stuff and I felt too much pressure to have something to blog about. A LOT has been going on in our life lately and some major changes are about to take place. From the last time I posted you can read that we felt God was asking us to stay in TN for one more year. We were broken, but we were trusting God's timing and we made plans to stay another year. Well, a few weeks ago Jeremy got a call from a principal in Chicago offering him an amazing position at his school. The real kicker is that this is a job that Jeremy had not even applied for! In fact, Jeremy has not applied for one single job in Chicago! He was not even in the public schools system! We believe a divine appointment was set up between this principal and our mentor in Chicago at a prayer breakfast several months ago. When the principal had this opening Jeremy was the one he thought of to take this job. We were floored, but we knew this was a door that only God could have opened. We held on to this information and decided to hold on to our current jobs and see if our house would sell. I was greatly convicted that we were holding on to our safety nets and not trusting God on this. So, with a very heavy heart I resigned my position at school and Jeremy told his principal that he would not be returning. No, our house has not sold but as crazy as it sounds I just have to trust that God is going to take care of that too. I will keep you posted!
The kids have all been doing great! Sam finished 2nd grade, which is almost unbelievable. He has done so well this school year and we are so proud of him. He continues to have a tender heart and a sweet spirit (well, most of the time:)
Emma will be finished K4 and is making plans to go to Kindergarten in the Fall. She has grown and learned so much this year! She is like a little sponge and has just absorbed everything. Those of you who are my FB friends have seen what a comedian she is in our house. She really is are funniest kid!
Chloe continues to be my strong-willed child. Thankfully she has not gotten into anything dangerous lately. She is doing better but we cannot let our guard down. She is a sneaky little girl:)
Jeremy will be finishing up his last class at Liberty this summer and then will ONLY have his discertation left before he is Dr. Riggs. I managed to survive my online math class and somehow pulled an 'A' in the class. I was soo relieved to have that class over! We are leaving for the beach tomorrow morning!!! We will be staying for a week and we are so excited!!!I will try to post some pictures this week!
