Saturday, May 26, 2012- Ahh, the beach.

Well after a super long day in our vehicle we have arrived at Gulf Shores, AL. This is our third trip with the all of the Riggs' clan (all 15 of us!). The last two years we have stayed in two separate condos at a resort type of place, but this year we have rented a beautiful house that we can ALL stay in together. The picture above is 5 of the 6 grandkids taken from the lower balcony of our house:) The kids did pretty good on the trip. Chloe did pee her pants when we stopped for lunch (NOT FUN) but the rest of the trip was pretty uneventful. We got to the house around 5:30 and then had supper and the kids just played and played. Well, Chloe got a little too involved in playing and decided to use the bathroom in her pants again, but this time it was the gross type of mess. So, my child who has not had an accident in months has two on the same day! She got a bath and she and I are enjoying some strawberry shortcake while the others walked down to the beach. She was not happy with me, but I think I am winning her back over with the strawberries:)

I want to thank you all for the encouraging words about our move in the next few months. We are very excited but also a little lot anxious about every thing that needs to happen in the next few months. We are really going to enjoy this week because I have a feeling it is going to be crazy when we get back! Our house is showing tomorrow afternoon and we are praying that this is the one! We had the house and deck power-washed yesterday and the house looks great, so we are praying they love it and we get an offer that we can accept!

 Oh, hey. Just dropping in to unload the million thoughts going on in my head. I know it's been awhile and once again I am writing this from my phone, so please excuse any mistakes. I am wearing my reading glasses since the last time I posted so maybe writing from my phone won't be as bad as it usually is.   I'm a little bit of a mess these days and I am entering the time of the year that is the hardest on me emotionally,  mentally,  and spiritually. These next few months are filled with dates that broke me. There are dates the next few months that take me back to the darkest days I have experienced.  I enter this fight with the demons that seemed to have attached themselves to me 22 years ago. Praise Jesus, He gave me victory from those demons, but this time of year they like to rear their ugly heads and I struggle.   "I live with a difficult child. That is really hard to write, but the truth is that I have lived with a difficult child for about 14 years. The last few years have been unbearable at times."  I haven't written a post in a long time. The main reason is that I don't have a personal computer (my work computer will not let me log in with my personal email) and I absolutely hate writing from my phone, but here I am needing to write,so I write. When I logged on this evening I found that I had started to write a post on May 23, 2022, but never finished it. We had just come off one of the most difficult years with Chloe. I could be found most nights just crying in my bathroom or screaming, "I can't live in this house with her anymore!" Wednesday, October 26, 2011- You are cordially invited...to my pity party

Okay. So life has been hard these past few weeks. Well, maybe not life in general, but I have been having a rough time. So, I am choosing to have myself a little pity party. If you would like to join me, keep reading. I do not talk much about my fibromyalgia. One, I do not like to complain and I feel like I am just a big complainer when I do talk about it. Two, the truth is that if you do not have it you cannot fully wrap your mind or sympathy around the pain I feel every day of my life. Over the past two years I really have learned to live with it. My husband and kids would see a glimpse of my pain, but I even tried to hide it from them. I really struggle with letting people know my own hurt and pain. Almost a year ago I was finally diagnosed and was able to get a mild relief from the intense pain.
