I guess I cannot use the excuse that I do not have internet to neglect my blog, so I will try to do better at blogging.  We were home again on Tuesday because of the bad weather. Our class missed our field trip but will be making it up sometime in January. My students were so disappointed. They (weather people) were calling for a chance of freezing rain on Wednesday but we had school. Sam's field trip was cancelled but they had their pajama day instead. It was also pajama day for my class and so it was a crazy day back to school. We dismiss an hour early just in case the bad weather hit but it turned out to be just rain. We had a half a day on Thursday but it was Christmas party day so the morning felt like it would never end! I love my kids but the truth is they can get pretty crazy. They are sweet kids and they try to follow the rules but my 9 boys have big personalities and no volume control. They do not do well when our day in not structured. Anyway, I survived the party and then spent several hours at school taking down Christmas decorations and get ready for next semester. We had a work day on Friday until noon and then break finally started. I celebrated by coming home and taking a nap:)Last night I braved Wal-Mart by myself and I am hoping I do not have to go back there this week. The kids helped me clean the house this morning and now they are playing the Wii. We have a birthday party to go this afternoon that should be a lot of fun.

Well I mentioned a few weeks ago that we felt the Lord leading us back into ministry. I will be giving more details about our plans in January but an opportunity has opened up for us that we will be doing while we prepare for the next step. We have been going to a church in Clarksville since August. We meet in a High School and this young church (only 5 years old) has about 2,000 people. We did not think we would like a big church but we absolutely love it! We have a small group and have made some great friends in this short amount of time. The church is doing an amazing job reaching the city of Clarksville and has decided to open another campus in Clarksville. They will be meeting at another High School that is in a lower-income area. When the announced that they were opening another campus they asked people in the church to consider joining in on this new ministry. We were not sure what we should do. It was something we considered but it is much farther for us to go to church. Well we were unsure if this was something we should do. A few days ago a staff member contacted Jeremy and asked him to be part of their team at the new campus and we feel this is what God is leading us to do. We know this starting of a new ministry is what we need to prepare us for what is next in our lives. The new campus will start meeting at the end of January.

I also have a prayer request. Our church is doing a mission trip to Guatemala this coming summer. There is a meeting tomorrow after church that I am going to attend. I would really love to go but it will all depend in cost and how long the trip will be. Please just pray that if this is what I need to do I will take the step of faith and trust that God will take care of the rest.
