I'm back! Well, for this week. I have missed blogging but we came home one afternoon and our neighbor had cut off his internet service, therefore cutting our internet connection. I was reading back over my last post and I can hear the discouragement in my words. Thankfully, I made it through those last few weeks of projects, classes, and finishing up the end of the school year. I finished strong in both of my classes and made A's in both of them. I got everything done in my classroom and school and sent off my precious 2nd graders into the next step in their life. It was a wild school year. I had some pretty rowdy boys (nine of them to be exact) that kept me on my toes this year. I was thinking the other day about my 2nd graders and I know that I would not of picked the students that were given to me, but I am so thankful that the Lord knew who needed to be in my life this year. I had some kids that came from very sad situations (yes, even in a Christian school) and I learned so much from them about courage and perseverance.  I am so glad I had the opportunity to minister to those amazing kids!

Well, there has been a lot going on in our family. A few months ago Jeremy found out that he was among the 300+ teachers in Metro Nashville would be displaced. This means that the teachers who have been with Metro the least amount of time would have to be cut from the schools that were needing to cut teachers. It was a pretty big blow to us. We knew that Metro would have to place him somewhere but we both love the people he was working with. It was also discouraging to Jeremy because now he will start a new job with new people for only a year, since our plan is still to move to Chicago next year:) I was also in a place where I was not sure about my working situation for next year. Thankfully, I got news that I would be teaching 1st grade next year a few weeks ago so I knew I at least had a job. Jeremy found out Thursday where he will be working next year. He would rather stay where he was but he is happy with the school he will be moving to. We also have our house back on the market. We have had a few people look at the house and I am really praying it sells soon. It is so much work to keep it ready to be shown! Well, we are currently at Gulf Shores (hence the Internet connection) and having a wonderful time. We arrived yesterday and will be here until Thursday. The kids are loving the water and the sunshine helps me feel so much better. After this trip our summer will be pretty uneventful. Jeremy has his internship to finish his Ed.S so the kids and I will be staying home. I will probably be working on getting my classroom ready at school and get ready to teach 1st grade. Well, the kids have been taking a nap and I promised to take them back to the pool so I better rest myself.
