Five years ago this summer we moved to Chicago. We started making our plans to move here almost 7 years ago. Many of you prayed for us, supported us, cheered us on in our successes, and wept with us in our struggles. We uprooted our family from TN almost five years ago to plant a church, but two years ago we felt God was leading us to a different mission. It was devastating to us to realize that the reason we moved here (to plant a church) was not going to be fulfilled. We never doubted one time that God had called us to this city, but we found ourselves wondering what was next after a failed church plant. Two years ago next month God allowed us to purchase this home. He then led us to The Brook. He then led us to MCA. Leaders from both of these places have made the comment to Jeremy that we were the answers to their prayers. Our lives look nothing like the prayers we prayed, but, wow, we rejoice that His plans are always better than the ones we have made or what we could even dream up. We moved up here to plant a church, but God is using our heart for education and missions and using us to help plant a high school.

Since Jeremy's decision to take the principal position we almost immediately started to sense that God was going to work some miracles. You would not believe the amazing events that have taken place in the last 48 hours concerning the new high school at our school! This post is a plea for our prayer warriors as we wait and see how God's plan continues to unfold. We have just been in awe and how God is moving. I wish I could go into details, but I am not at liberty to share right now. I am asking that this week you would consider praying for the new MCA High School. Pray that the exact location will be secured and that God would work in the hearts of parents and send their students to us. You can imagine that there are a million details that need to be worked out when starting such a huge endeavor, but God is working and we cannot wait to see how all the details come together. I have not seen my husband so excited about working in a very long time. His excitement has been another confirmation of this being the right decision. There will be some very important meetings taking place on Tuesday morning and prayers would be appreciated.

Samuel got a haircut today. He looks too old, but he is so handsome 💗
