We have almost made it through this week of Jeremy being gone. His flight gets in early tomorrow morning and we are all ready for him to be home. Monday afternoon I started to feel bad. I had some tummy issues and spent a great deal of time in the bathroom. Thankfully it got better just in time to get the kids from school. Monday night ended with huge drama between Chloe and myself and ended with both of us sobbing and asking for forgiveness for our behavior. I mentioned a week ago or so that we have been seeing some of Chloe's poor behavior return. Monday evening about 30 minutes before her bedtime I see that she has a green pen (the gel kind so a little more messy) mark across her mouth and a little smudge on her cheek. I am not mad at this point, but I know from past experiences that this usually means there is pen marks on furniture, bathroom fixtures, or other places pen does not belong. I calmly ask her where the pen is that she used and that is now on her face. She lied to me that she didn't have a pen. I took her in the bathroom to show her the pen on her mouth and she still refused to admit she had pen on her face! The lies kept coming when she said it happened at school. I reminded her that I had put eye drops in her eyes, cut her bangs, and gave her a bath and the pen mark was not there. By the fifth or sixth lie I was not as calm as I was in the beginning. She finally realized that she had only one option, to tell the truth. She had gone in Samuel's room (which she is not allowed in without permission) and took the pen. It was a stressful night and I did not sleep well. I woke up Tuesday with a terrible headache and that headache hung around all day. It was one of those headaches where you have to just sit and cry and pray it goes away. Tuesday night we had another issue with Chloe getting into something and then lying about it. Thankfully I handled the situation much better than the night before (meaning I did not raise my voice) and it only took three lies before she told the truth. Wednesday I woke up feeling better. Wednesday afternoon I had a meeting with Chloe's teacher and it was basically concerning things that are also going on at home. The teacher just wanted to touch base with me and let me know of some of the things going on in the classroom. Wednesday night we got a few more inches of snow, but thankfully I was able to get out of my parking space to take the kids to school yesterday and easily find another spot when I got home. Wednesday night I did not sleep well at all! My kids are so loud when they sleep! Chloe talked in her sleep most of the night. Emma was snoring and kept kicking the closest door, and Samuel was all over the place. Last night I told them they all had to sleep in their bed except Samuel ended up sleeping in my bed. I made the girls go to bed a half hour early last night. I got in bed around 8:00 and Samuel watched a show with me. At 9:00 I was watching a show on Food Network but the next thing I know it is 1;30 AM and the TV is still on and I realize that I have no idea who won that show I was watching. I also realized that Samuel had not gone to his bed. I turned the TV off and was able to fall right back to sleep. This morning I could not find my glasses and eventually found them in my bed because I had fallen asleep with them on. I took the kids to school this morning and then got some groceries for the week. I am going to try and get the house cleaned today and maybe pack a few more boxes. Praying that two weeks from today I will be starting to move out of here!
I usually make the kids pose for a picture, but this week I got three random and typical pictures of my kids.

Emma is on the iPad. She would be on it all of the time if we let her. |
