"Hear my cry for help,     my King and my God,    for to you I pray.

3 In the morning,Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you     and wait expectantly." Psalm 5:2-3

"Pray about everything; then leave the outcomes up to Me. Do not fear My will, for through it I accomplish what is best for you. Take a deep breath and dive into the depths of absolute trust in Me. " Jesus Calling- July 2nd

I did not realize that it has been almost a week since my last post. We have had a whirlwind kind of week! I talked with the lady concerning the nanny position and I really wanted to try to meet her this week but it just did not seem possible to get to Chicago this week. So we made plans to meet the week of July 15th. Wednesday afternoon Jeremy got his official email from CPS with all of the paperwork that needed to be filled out and one if the papers said he needed a drug test within the NEXT 72 HOURS from receiving the email! WHAT!? Jeremy talked to his principal and he said that this must be a new procedure. The principal has been wonderful at telling Jeremy about certain deadlines and what comes next in each step. He felt terrible that he did not know about this! So, we left Thursday and headed to Illinois.I was also able to make plans to meet with the family about the nanny job.  We left the kids with Jeremy's parents since it was going to be such a quick trip and they had already made that trip last week. On the way we stopped and had lunch with some friends that are planting a church in Champaign, IL. They are also newly adopted parents from Korea, so it was fun to see their little guy! We stayed the night with my parents and then headed to Chicago Friday morning. We went to the clinic for Jeremy to have his drug screening first thing. We then met our mentor, David, at his house and went to a place called YummYummy for lunch. We then went back to his church to help him for a few minutes and talked for a while about our plans. We then headed over to the school where Jeremy will be teaching and where the kids will be going to school next year. The school looks great!! I think the kids are going to LOVE it! The principal gave us a tour of the school and we were able to meet some of the teachers. After the school we went to Starbucks and hung out until me interview with the family about the nanny job. The interview went great and the kids are adorable! They were a super nice family. Their  only concern was what about when my children are sick. When I worked for the family in Nashville this was always a concern. When you are doing a nanny job it is really hard on the family if you have to take off. Thankfully, my children are pretty healthy. I told them that Jeremy would take off and we are going to try to connect with someone who could maybe watch the kids if we needed a back-up. A decision will be made sometime this week. My concern is the number of hours. Jeremy came back to pick me up and I just cried. In the past 6 years I have been home with the kids or they have been able to go with me to work. This transition is going to be really hard on me. If they were not going to school with Jeremy I do not think I would be able to handle it! I have gotten two more emails from other families since yesterday about possible nanny positions, so we will see.

Since the last time I posted we have gotten TWO individuals that pledged $1200 for two of the six months. We are still in need of support for four months. We had two more showings this past week on the house. Praying we get an offer this week. On our way home yesterday we got a call from another church planter in Chicago and someone in their church will be going on a 12 month mission trip and wanted to see if we would want to rent their house this year. It is just the size we need and within our budget. It also has a basement and a fenced in backyard.  The only hang up will be if they do not want a dog in the house. We are excited to see how God is working!!

In this extreme heat we have been just hanging around the house. We got out for church and groceries yesterday and then just stayed in with all the curtains drawn to keep out the heat.

I also made chocolate covered banannas and they were super yummy!! I bought a packet from the grocery store. I figured out that each bananna is worth 3 WW points. Being gone the past three weeks my diet has not been going great, so we are starting new this week.
