Tonight we had our last birthday party in this house. My living room was full of those who have loved us and have been the closest to us these past 8 years. My BABY girl is turning 5 tomorrow. It has been an emotional night. I held it together during the party, even when those around me where letting the tears fall, but as my house is getting quiet the emotions are building up. I will, however, share that for another night.

Chloe told me a few months ago that she wanted an owl party. I did not know that she liked owls, but that is what she wanted. Since I love owls I was excited to do her party in owls. The problem, I could not find any owl birthday stuff. A few weeks ago when I was in IL I found some owls plates, balloons, and napkins at a party store. A few days ago I found the cutest owl stuff at Wal-Mart. I tool one of the napkins to a friend that owns a bakery in town and she made the cake. The cake was adorable and beyond what I thought it would be.

I made BBQ and just had chips and fruit. We had a house full of friends and family and Chloe got some really cute stuff. I know that I mention how alike we are, but as I watched her open her gifts her personality is so much like mine. She does not like being the center of attention. She got some Minnie Mouse underwear and when she pulled them out of the bag she was so embarrassed. I said that was the Douglas side in her, not the Riggs' side:) Well, I wanted to post a few funny things the kids said today and then I better get every thing cleaned up.

The house shown today at 3:30, so the kids and I went to Sonic while it was showing. Before we left Chloe asked where we were going and I said "Crazy Town". We left Sonic and this is the conversation I hear in the back seat.

Chloe- "Mom, we did not go to Crazy Town yet!"

Sam- "Chloe, mom was just joking."

Chloe- "NO. Mommy, say we going to Crazy Town!!"

Sam- "Chloe, she was just messing with you."

We were almost back home and Sam and Chloe are arguing about something and I say, "Guys, please stop arguing!" Emma says, " Mom, I am not in this mess!"

 Oh, hey. Just dropping in to unload the million thoughts going on in my head. I know it's been awhile and once again I am writing this from my phone, so please excuse any mistakes. I am wearing my reading glasses since the last time I posted so maybe writing from my phone won't be as bad as it usually is.   I'm a little bit of a mess these days and I am entering the time of the year that is the hardest on me emotionally,  mentally,  and spiritually. These next few months are filled with dates that broke me. There are dates the next few months that take me back to the darkest days I have experienced.  I enter this fight with the demons that seemed to have attached themselves to me 22 years ago. Praise Jesus, He gave me victory from those demons, but this time of year they like to rear their ugly heads and I struggle.   "I live with a difficult child. That is really hard to write, but the truth is that I have lived with a difficult child for about 14 years. The last few years have been unbearable at times."  I haven't written a post in a long time. The main reason is that I don't have a personal computer (my work computer will not let me log in with my personal email) and I absolutely hate writing from my phone, but here I am needing to write,so I write. When I logged on this evening I found that I had started to write a post on May 23, 2022, but never finished it. We had just come off one of the most difficult years with Chloe. I could be found most nights just crying in my bathroom or screaming, "I can't live in this house with her anymore!" Wednesday, October 26, 2011- You are cordially invited...to my pity party

Okay. So life has been hard these past few weeks. Well, maybe not life in general, but I have been having a rough time. So, I am choosing to have myself a little pity party. If you would like to join me, keep reading. I do not talk much about my fibromyalgia. One, I do not like to complain and I feel like I am just a big complainer when I do talk about it. Two, the truth is that if you do not have it you cannot fully wrap your mind or sympathy around the pain I feel every day of my life. Over the past two years I really have learned to live with it. My husband and kids would see a glimpse of my pain, but I even tried to hide it from them. I really struggle with letting people know my own hurt and pain. Almost a year ago I was finally diagnosed and was able to get a mild relief from the intense pain. Of course the first few medicines work for a few months but then I was changed to a more powerful medicine. Well, about a month ago my pain has returned at full force. I was scheduled to go...
