We had a pretty good weekend. Friday afternoon I went to the kid's school to help with Emma's Halloween party. Friday evening we attempted to go Trick or Treating but the weather got so terrible that we only went down one and a half streets. We drove over by the school and parked, but before we got out Emma said she didn't feel good, She said her throat and head were hurting. So, Jeremy let myself, Samuel, and Chloe out to trick or treat and took Emma to Walgreens to get some medicine. It was cold when we started, but it wasn't raining or snowing. We got down one of the streets and out of nowhere it was like a blizzard was upon us! It was so weird and it was so bad that we actually took shelter next to a house to get out of the pelting snow and wind. I called Jeremy to come and get us! Even after the flash blizzard passed we were so so wet and cold that I called it on the trick or treating. We headed over to IHOP to take advantage of the free scary-face pancakes for the kids. Emma miraculously started feeling better :). I think she was smart enough to know that she didn't need to be out in that weather! Saturday Jeremy had a school event, but he took the girls with him. Saturday afternoon we finally carved our pumpkin and roasted some yummy pumpkin seeds Saturday night we watched some friend's kids (ages 5 and 3) and it was a hoot! We forget how many questions little people ask. Sunday we had a sweet time in our living room with the members of Redemption Church and then our family headed out to see a couple of apartments. We went looking knowing that the apartment would have to meet some requirements and be pretty awesome for us to move from one apartment to another apartment. We looked at three and we have decided that none of the ones we looked at are worth moving over. This morning I woke up an hour early (thank you time change) and started some laundry. Emma came to me last night and said, "I don't mean this rude, but I think it's time for you to do laundry." So I started laundry took the kids to school and then went and got some groceries. I also had to get Samuel some new warmer pajamas. Friday night when we got home the kids were trying to find warm pjs to wear and my poor Samuel could not find one pair of pajama pants that were not high waters. All of his long sleeved shirts barely fit on his body and the sleeves were up to his elbows. He has long legs but I did not realize how tall he has gotten until he was putting last seasons clothes on. I finally found some sleep pants and t-shirts that I juts bought at separates. I had a hard time finding pajamas that were not too babyish.

I did not post my thankful thoughts for this weekend, so here is what I was thankful for this weekend.
Sleeping in, coffee, a low homework weekend, and Sunday service with friends.

Today my thankfulness turns to six years ago when our family of four became a family of five! Six years ago today we all headed to Detroit to meet our Chloe Mee. We are thankful she is part of our family. We love her and we are proud of her. I have been asking lots of prayer for our Chloe the last six years. I am not going to go into a lot of details, but just this past week we feel like God has revealed the next steps we need to take to make sure Chloe is getting every opportunity to succeed in life. You know those pictures when you are standing right in front of it you can see each individual piece as a picture but cannot make out the big picture but as soon as you take a few steps back the picture as a whole comes into focus? That's the revelation that has come to us this past week. We have been focusing on each individual event and issue that we really have never put all of them together to get a better view on what might be the problem. I would ask that you continue to pray for us. Many tears have have been shed as I think about the potential diagnosis, but I know that sometimes having a label gets the help that she desperately needs.
