I took an extended break from blogging to rest my right hand and arm. I am not ready to give up blogging all together, but I probably will be writing less frequently for a few weeks. I think I have a combination of elbow and wrist problems and resting my arm seems to help relieve the pain. It is my right arm so it makes it a little more difficult. I have gone back to using Peapod so I do not have to carry in groceries and doing laundry on Saturdays or in the evening so I have some help.

Last week went by pretty fast. Thursday night my parents came to town to give Emma her birthday presents and we all went to eat to celebrate my mom's birthday. The kids did not have school on Friday because of a school improvement day. The kids and I met my sister-in-law and two little nephews at Legoland Discovery Center. It is about 45 minutes away, but the kids loved it! They also got a new set of Legos to reward them for having all 'A's and 'B's' on their report cards!! Thanks again for your prayers for Samuel :). I was so proud of how hard he worked to bring his grades up! Emma received all 'A's' and this is the first time Chloe had all 'A's' and 'B's". Saturday was the first Saturday in a very long time that none of us had any plans and it was wonderful! Sunday we had service at our house and it was an awesome time of planning for the future. Some of you may have seen my post on FB, but I cannot stress enough how we need help! We are being blessed financially from churches and we are more than grateful, but we could have all the money in the world and still need those who are willing to come and help us plant His church. It is tough at this stage, but we can sense God is moving and He is speaking to singles, couples, families, to join us in His work. I may sound desperate (that's what discouragement makes you sometimes), but I am serious about people praying for what God wants them to do. We have had several people express interest, but the timing was not right, maybe now is the right time, because we need people. Just pray about it, okay.

Yesterday was Emma's 8th birthday. I am still in disbelief that she is 8 years old. It is also disturbing to think that Samuel turned 8 the year we moved to Chicago and how quickly these last two years have gone. I made her favorite meal last night and her and I made a cake on Sunday for her birthday. She opened presents and then we watched a movie together. The kids are out of school today for Veterans Day and they are actually off tomorrow for P/T Conferences. I have to go in between 1:10-1:40 for their conferences. They should go pretty quickly. Emma and Samuel's should go fine and since I have been in contact with Chloe's teacher all along there is not really anything else to discuss tomorrow. Jeremy and I had a meeting yesterday with Chloe's teacher, speech teacher, social worker, and the counselor to discuss steps to improve her behavior. It was a great meeting and we felt like everyone involved really has Chloe's best in mind. The counselor gave us some referrals to counselor's that work with adoptive kids, which we appreciated. We are taking Chloe to her pediatrician this afternoon to get their perspective on her behavior. The teacher mentioned that the last few weeks she has seen improvement since we implemented some techniques that we thought would be helpful.

Well, I better get going. We have to take Chloe to the doctor in an hour and she is still taking her nap.
