Not sure where to begin this post. I cannot believe it is already Thursday night! Sunday night after I had posted we found out that the Delegates that needed to vote to end the strike would not be making a decision until Tuesday, which meant we would not be returning to school for at least two more days. This was not the news we were hoping for:( The kids and I crawled into bed early and we were watching a movie on my computer. I thought Emma had fallen asleep so I just let her sleep because I knew she had not been feeling well. Jeremy came into the room and touched her head and she was burning up! We checked her temperature and it was 104.7! The highest temperature any of my kids have ever had. She was almost lifeless and it was one of the scariest experience I have had with the kids. Jeremy swooped her up and they headed to the ER. They got to the hospital and she threw up all over him and they quickly took her back to get her checked out. They did several tests and determined that it was a virus that was causing all the problems. After Jeremy told them about my symptoms they said I probably had the same thing but she just got it worse. They kept her at the hospital until her fever went down, so they were there for several hours. They all stayed home Monday and I went into work. While at work, we all got free Cubs tickets for that evenings game. I was super excited and I knew that Sam would be even more excited. Emma had been fever free and we decided that I would stay home with her if she was not up to going. We all ended up going but as soon as we got to Wrigley the rain started to pour. Our seats were under covering so we decided we would wait it out. Well an hour went by and it was still raining and it started to get cold and the game had not even started yet. Sam was upset, but we decided it was time to head home. We did stop at McDonald's and got them an ice cream and then headed home. The game did not end up starting until 10:40 and ended at 1:30 in the morning! Jeremy and Emma stayed home Tuesday. The best news of the week... THE STRIKE IS FINALLY OVER:) We were able to return to school on Wednesday and it was such a relief to finally be back. It was nice to see so many familiar faces now when I am at school. It was nice to get to know some of the other workers at our school and kids from various grades. We have had a great two days at school. I cannot thank you enough for your prayers for us during this time. We are praying that our life will start to settle down some:) We are looking forward to my parents coming tomorrow for Sam's birthday dinner. His birthday is Monday, but we are doing it tomorrow night. It has made me sad as I think about all of our friends back in TN that have been there to celebrate my kids birthdays.

Well, here is the only picture I took at the game.
