Isaiah 9:6
"A child has been born to us;
God has given a son to us.
He will be responsible for leading the people.
His name will be Wonderful Counselor, Powerful God,
Father Who Lives Forever, Prince of Peace."
A few weeks ago during the election this verse came to my mind and it made me smile. It does not matter who is sitting in the White House (whether it is the person you voted for or not) there is only ONE who sits on the Throne and there is only ONE who is sovereign and in control. There is only ONE that should be leading us. I absolutely love this verse from scripture and it seems I only think about it around Christmas time. Yes it was at Christmas that the Son was given, but it is still true today that he is our Wonderful Counselor, Powerful God, Father who lives forever, and our Prince of Peace! As I reflect over these descriptions of Jesus I cannot help but think that these four descriptions are exactly what He has been for me this year and even this week. No matter what you are facing tonight, tomorrow, or next week Isaiah 9:6 holds true. Cling to the promise of this verse:)
Okay, changing gears for a minute. I am asking that you would pray for me tomorrow around 5:30. I finally made an appointment to see a chiropractor who also helps with pain management for fibromyalgia. On Sunday I had the worse migraine I have ever had in my life and I believe it is connected to all the pain I have been having the past few weeks. Chloe and I went to the laundry mat on Sunday to do one load of towels. WHile we were there I started feeling really weird. I started getting dizzy and my head felt like it was going to explode. I then got sick to my stomach. It got so bad that I got the towels out before they were dry and headed back home. I had a roast in the oven that would be ready when I got home and when I walked in the door the smell also made me pass out from nausea. Jeremy got me to the bed and I really was getting scared because how bad I felt. I finally fell asleep and slept for a few hours. When I woke up the headache was gone. I decided after this episode I needed to try to see if I could find a doctor to help. I hope they can help me and I hope they are nice. I hate finding new doctors. You never know how they are going to treat you.
Well, our friend Lisa in TN sent Emma's birthday present at the beginning of November and it was sent back to her and then she had to resend it. We finally got it on Saturday and the kids were so excited because of course she sent something for all three of them:). Have I mentioned that they LOVE to get mail? :)
