Today I am thankful that I am in the same building every day with my husband and my kids. Yesterday I was having a rough day because of lack of sleep the past few nights and I have been in a lot of pain. Jeremy brought me a coffee from Starbucks (which is across the street:) during his lunch break. Today Emma had an accident trying to make it to the bathroom:( I was glad I could help her get cleaned up and talk her down from her complete break-down. I am thankful that I am feeling a little better today.
Since we have moved to the city I have pretty much been around other believers. Many people at our school are fellow believers and it has been pretty "easy" to be a good witness. I am pretty sure most of my kids in class do not come from Christian homes and I have starting to build some relationships with their parents and hoping to be that witness to them. Well, the past few days I have had to deal with a real pain in the rear (if I can be so bold!) In the afternoon I have a helper from the YMCA and Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Friday I have two different ladies who help me and they are great to be around. On Wednesday and on the end of each day right before I leave a young man comes in to work on Wednesday and helps with the afterschool care at school. He is a young college guy and I am not sure what is going on but this week he has been a real jerk to me about certain "issues". None of them are not even religious but have political (gag) (Oh, I mentioned that I thought George W. was a cutie) and today it was about celebrating Thanksgiving for crying out loud! If you know me I am the least confrontational person so I am not even provoking these conversations and I really haven't even said anything back to his comments but he seems to "ticking me off" (his words) and I think he is enjoying it. I just need prayers concerning this guy. As I said, he is a young college guy who does not want to have a legitimate conversation and I want to keep my testimony. I guess because I simply asked a question about his statements he thinks he is making me mad. Anyway, I am praying for wisdom on how to deal with this guy if he continues to act this way. I have been working with him since the beginning of the school year and I never had any of these issues with him:( It has not helped that my mood has not been the best because of my lack of sleep and the extra pain. He does not realize that I have been in the best of mood before his ridiculous comments.
Here is a hazy view of the kid's school pictures from this year:)
