Look at me posting on the weekend! Next week if filling up fast so I thought I would go a head and sneak in a blog post before the insanity begins. I first want to say that I am so thankful that I slept so good last night. I think I got 10 hours in and I was in the same position this morning as I was when I went to sleep last night so I know I got some good sleep. I also do not remember looking at the clock once during the night, so I think I may have slept the entire night.

Jeremy had his work Christmas party last night so the kids and I headed to the mall after I picked them up from school. I let them pick out something they wanted to get Jeremy for Christmas. It is funny the things they thought he might like and it makes me a little nervous as to what they picked out for me when they went shopping with daddy :). Thankfully they each found a gift at Kohl's so we did not have to go through then entire mall to find gifts. We then ate an early supper at the Subway in the mall and then headed home. They kids decorated cookies and then played with their Lego's. I was excited to see that their was an American Pickers marathon on the History channel, so I got my pj's on and climbed into bed. I was only in the bedroom about 10 minutes before my three shadows ended up piling on the bed next to me. So the rest of the night (well until daddy got home) the kids and I (and Lucy) snuggled in the bed watching TV.

This morning will be spent cleaning the house a little bit and getting homework done. This evening we are taking the kids to our friend's house and they are going to watch the kids while we go on a date. I cannot remember the last time we went on a date :). We are going to see a movie, have some dinner, and if time get the last few presents for Christmas for a few people at Jeremy's school.

As you pray for us during this week I do have two items that I would like to pray specifically about for us. Before school started I decided that I  was going to try and get more involved with the parent organization at the kid's school. I went to the first meeting and it was difficult. All the people there were nice, but they also all knew each other and I definitely felt like an outsider. A few weeks after this meeting I volunteered to help with a fall festival and they did not put me on the list. I am 98% sure it was an oversight and they didn't mean to not include me, but it still did not sit well with me. On Monday and Tuesday the school is having a holiday craft fair. I volunteered for both days but they have me coming all day Monday for sure and maybe Tuesday if they need me. I am praying that things go well on Monday that I can make some good connections with these ladies. I am praying that being in a school setting will trump all the nervous feelings I have about these types of situations.

Item two: I cannot go into details, but a door of opportunity has cracked opened. This would be an amazing opportunity and would help us tremendously. I cannot give details, but let me explain it this way. Behind the cracked door is a giant blocking the entrance. It is not a mean giant, just a giant following protocol. We have people on our behalf trying to see if they can get the giant to move, but we are not sure if they will be successful. So, we are praying that the giant can be moved so the door can be fully opened. We are also praying that if this is not the right door that we will be content with that decision and take heart that God is already working on our behalf and that an even better door will open. I will keep you updated!

Emma went a little crazy with the red hots.
