Yesterday marked the end of the second quarter at school, so we are officially half way done with this school year and one day closer to summer break :). All of the kids made "A's" and "B's" again this quarter and I am so proud of all their hard work. Poor Emma only had one "B" and bless her heart is was in health which is basically gym. They were graded on basketball skills and Emma is like her momma, not very coordinated. Today was supposed to be a day off of school for a teacher workday, but it became a snow make-up day so everyone had to go in today. It probably worked out for the best that the kids are at school because I have to go this afternoon for a biometric screening for our insurance. The whole thing makes me a little irritated, but the worse part is that I have to fast today until after 1:30. The no food part I can handle, but not having my coffee has left me pretty grumpy and it is only 8:40. I have already figured out the nearest Starbucks to where I have to go to get the screening. Also, if you think about it, would you pray that my blood pressure will be okay when I get the screening around 1:30? I have been monitoring at home the last 7 days to take in my numbers because I just freak out every time I have my blood pressure taken at a medical setting and it makes my blood pressure pretty high.
We still do not have any update on the house, but we are motivated more than ever to get out of this apartment. Lots of new annoyances this week and the girls really need their own space. Yesterday after school Emma was so tired that she fell asleep when she got home. We took the kids out for supper last night and she fell back asleep on the way to the restaurant. When we got there she was crying because she was so sleepy and I thought for sure she was getting sick. We finally got out of her that the last two nights Chloe has been getting up two or three times in the night and turning the lights on! Chloe is bad about waking Sam and Emma both in the mornings if she wakes up first, but now waking them up in the night is just too much. We are planning on going to look at 3-4 houses tomorrow afternoon with our realtor. The houses are a little bit farther from our neighborhood and the kid's school, but we have gotten permission to keep the kids at their school since Jeremy has an administrative position for CPS. The school can change their mind if the kids are absent or tardy frequently, but that should not be a problem. The nice thing about the houses we are looking at is that there are so many more houses in our price range and most of them are move in ready. This whole situation with the house we put an offer on has been pretty frustrating and I really wish the bank would just decide, but I have peace that I WILL be getting out of this apartment soon and that God is preparing our perfect house. As always, I will keep you updated.
