The kids and I are hunkered down in the house today. Because of the wind chill warning of almost 40 below schools in our area have been cancelled today. CPS is notorious for not closing school so I was a little worried that they would decide to keep the schools open today. I am glad I did not have to make the decision of keeping my kids home if they stayed opened today. My poor husband did not have the luxury of staying home today, principals still had to report. They have to open the schools in case some students still show up. The tragedy is that some parents are clueless and some will send their kids even if the school is closed. If kids show up they have to keep them in the building. I spent yesterday doing laundry and house cleaning, so today the plan is to stay in my pjs and curl up in bed most of the day. I have pinned a dozen recipes on Pinterest that I have been wanting to make, so I am going to sort those and make my grocery list for next week.

I had some things I was going to blog about today, but my heart is just not into it today. My heart is so heavy for so many friends who are hurting and need Divine intervention and healing. There are many that need prayers, but I do want to mention one family that really needs God's healing. Their names are David and Bethany Lytle. The following is the FB post from yesterday from David.

Many of you know that Bethany Lytle was diagnosed with breast cancer last week. She has now been admitted to the hospital with dangerously high calcium levels that have come as a result of the cancer. Please pray for her she is very sick.
David and Bethany are a few years younger that Jeremy and I, but we are really good friends with both of these individuals brothers and sister. Both of their families are very dear to us. The Lytle's have three kids and really need prayers right now. You may not know them, but would you please bring their names before the Father?

I also cannot close this post without wishing my dad and my niece Isabel a very happy birthday!! Thankful for these two people! Love them both so much and blessed that they are my family. Here is a blog post I wrote a few year ago about my dad if you are interested.

 Oh, hey. Just dropping in to unload the million thoughts going on in my head. I know it's been awhile and once again I am writing this from my phone, so please excuse any mistakes. I am wearing my reading glasses since the last time I posted so maybe writing from my phone won't be as bad as it usually is.   I'm a little bit of a mess these days and I am entering the time of the year that is the hardest on me emotionally,  mentally,  and spiritually. These next few months are filled with dates that broke me. There are dates the next few months that take me back to the darkest days I have experienced.  I enter this fight with the demons that seemed to have attached themselves to me 22 years ago. Praise Jesus, He gave me victory from those demons, but this time of year they like to rear their ugly heads and I struggle.   "I live with a difficult child. That is really hard to write, but the truth is that I have lived with a difficult child for about 14 years. The last few years have been unbearable at times."  I haven't written a post in a long time. The main reason is that I don't have a personal computer (my work computer will not let me log in with my personal email) and I absolutely hate writing from my phone, but here I am needing to write,so I write. Wednesday, October 26, 2011- You are cordially invited...to my pity party

Okay. So life has been hard these past few weeks. Well, maybe not life in general, but I have been having a rough time. So, I am choosing to have myself a little pity party. If you would like to join me, keep reading. I do not talk much about my fibromyalgia. One, I do not like to complain and I feel like I am just a big complainer when I do talk about it. Two, the truth is that if you do not have it you cannot fully wrap your mind or sympathy around the pain I feel every day of my life. Over the past two years I really have learned to live with it. My husband and kids would see a glimpse of my pain, but I even tried to hide it from them. I really struggle with letting people know my own hurt and pain. Almost a year ago I was finally diagnosed and was able to get a mild relief from the intense pain.
