Everybody has the day off from school today. It was nice for me because I could sleep in, but it is mostly business as usual for me. Laundry and meals still have to be taken care of today :). Not much has happened since Saturday and since the banks are closed today we know we will not hear anything about the house. I have been trying several Pinterest recipes the last few weeks and I wanted to post three recipes that were BIG hits at my house. My kids are not really picky about what they eat, but I usually do not get all three kids to agree that they really loved a meal I made. These three recipes got three responses of being awesome.
I have made many hamburgers in my life. Hamburgers are easy and my whole family loves them. I have been trying to switch things about a bit so I found a recipe for hamburger sliders using Hawaiian rolls. I did change up the recipes just a tad. I added Adobo seasoning (which I use in almost all of my meat), a tablespoon of worcestershire sauce, and about a tablespoon of BBQ sauce to the meat. I got a "these are the best hamburgers you have ever made" from my husband! They were delicious!
The next recipe I tried can be found here. They are chicken roll ups using crescent rolls and they were also a big hit at my house. They were really easy to make. I cooked my chicken in my Crock Pot during the day, so the chicken was easy to shred. I served it with some rice and a side vegetable.
The last recipe was the one I made yesterday. It was so yummy and so easy because it all when into one pan! The recipe can be found here, but you probably do not necessarily need the recipe (That is how easy it is!) I could not find the Italian seasoning mix so I just used Italian dressing. It was still yummy, but the green beans really soaked up the dressing mix and may be a little overwhelming for others. I also used chicken strips instead of chicken breasts so they did not need as long to cook. The next time I will try to use the Italian mix and use chicken breasts, but you will see from the after picture there were not any complaints! It was an easy clean-up after a busy Sunday morning.
