I do not normally post on the weekend, but I wanted to give another house update. I am struggling a little bit with posting these updates because I do not want to come off as a spaz or a person who is not trusting God for what He has for us. I am probably the only one painting myself in that light,but I guess because I know there has been moments in the last week that I have not acted as trusting as I should. Anyway, I posted on FB yesterday about how things were looking up in our favor and although we did not hear anything yesterday I just wanted to explain a little more in detail about where we are right now with the house situation. I really have been moved by the interest shown and the prayers that have been taken to the Father on our behalf. I don't know if people are sick of my complaining about my apartment :), or they care about my family that much. Just kidding, I know those interested want us to have a home of our own and many know the difficulties associated with our apartment.
Thursday evening we found out that our lending company will finance the $6,000 that we were needing at closing. We had to fill out several other forms and our realtor has to put together all of the paper work and make a presentation of sort to present to the bank. I guess how it works when trying to purchase a foreclosed home the bank will choose which offer they want to pursue, but it is not a done deal until it is presented before the bank committee. We have agreed to all of their changes to the offer except we changed one part of their offer up a little bit. This one issue has a potential to cause problems but we are praying it will not be an issue. Normally you have to put up about $1,000 in earnest money, but they wanted $5,000 in earnest money. We are asking that we give the $1,000 when an agreement is made and the remainder of the earnest money will be given after the house is inspected. It seems like that should not be an issue but you never know with banks. We would love to buy this house, but we also know that it is going to need some work. We want to find out just how much work needs to be done before we fork over $5,000. We should find out something this coming week.
Last night we were supposed to go to our friend's house for supper, but their daughter woke up yesterday morning with a fever. The kid's school was having movie night, so we went as a family. I do believe it is the last movie night we will be attending :). There were so many kids there and they were out of control! You could hardly hear the movie and kids were running all over the place. It was crazy just watching the parents let their kids act so out of control. We went as a family but Chloe is the only one that stayed sitting with us. We all sat down together but then Samuel found some of his friends and sat with them and then some of Emma's friends came in so she sat with them.
Tonight Jeremy and I are using a gift card he got for Christmas and going on a date. We have some friends that are keeping the kids for us, so it should be a nice evening. Church on Sunday and then we have off on Monday for MLK day.
