Well, the trip we have been waiting for all year is over and we are now back home. We were supposed to return home last night, but we actually got back home this morning around 9:30. We left Gulf Shores yesterday morning and went straight to Murfreesboro to see my nephew, Kraig, graduate from high school. We met my parents and brother and we were planning on eating before the graduation but Kaleb and Kraig (I lovenly call "the boys') could not eat until after graduation. We were exhausted so my parents and our family decided to get a room in Murfreesboro instead of driving home after we ate. We were at Demos' eating supper at 10:30 last night! We got up this morning and made the hour drive home. We got home unloaded everything in the living room and then I headed back out to get some groceries and pick up Lucy who was being boarded at the vet.

Last night was pretty emotional for me. I was in 8th grade when my first nephew, Kaleb, was born. That little guy was our world! Two year later Kraig Michael Douglas was born into this world. I was a sophomore in high school and I could not imagine loving two little guys more! They were living across the street from us and during the summer I was their babysitter. Kraig had some stomach problems and that poor boy threw up all the time! I still tease him about it. The summer before my senior year they moved back to TN and it was the toughest day of our lives to see those boys move away. Thankfully, a year later I moved to TN to attend college and they were once again a BIG part of my life. My first two years of college I was able to work in the preschool were they attending and it was great. I am so thankful that over the years they have still been a big part of my life. They are both so sweet with my own kids and that is rare among many teenagers. The past few years Kraig has been my travel buddy when we took trips to Illinois and I am so thankful for those times together. I am so proud of him but I realize that things will start to change as he enters this new phase in his life. I did want to share one story about an adenture that Kraig and I had that I will never forget. A few years ago we were in Illinois and the movie "New Moon" (from the Twilight series) was being released at midnight. I would normally never do something so spontaneous, but Kraig and I decided to go to Wal-Mart to get the movie. Now my parents live at least 20 minutes from the nearest store, so we had to drive a little way. We got to Wal-Mart and we waited in line with all the crazy people and we just had a great time. We got my movie and instead of going the back roads back to my parents house (we thought it was a little creepy at this time of night) we got on the Interstate and went back through town. We get off the ramp and we see police lights and we assume there is an accident. We get closer and realize that it is a sobriety check point! I am so nerveous because I have never been pulled over by a police officer. We pull to the side and the officer asks for my license and insurance but I cannot find my new insurance card. I am freaking out and the whole time I am hoping that he does not ask me why I am out at this time of night! I was just imagining myself saying, "To get the new Twilight movie."We sat on the side of this road for a good 20-25 minutes while the officer was sitting in his car. He finally comes back to the window tells me that the light on my license plate is out and then starts chit-chatting about his family that lives in TN and about the well going bad in the town and that everyone got cancer. We finally were able to pull away and we looked at each other and busted out laughing.
