We went back up to work today, but I did not go in at 5:30 this morning. I do not mind working, but I am very thankful that my chosen career is teaching. I could not do the factory job every day! I went in at 8:00 with my mom. I worked on my Decoy bags most of today. I think I have gotten 200 done these past two days. It was a little harder to keep the kids entertained today. Samuel and Emma were terrible today! The shocker is that Chloe was so well-behaved today! Heaven help me if they all decide to have a bad day! Emma got TWO spankings before lunch time today and that is NOT like Emma. Part of it is probably my fault because I made her sleep with Chloe last night so I do not think she got much rest. I know none of you doubt the love for children, but they just want to hang all over me. I seriously cannot sit down without all of them wanting to sit on me. We are thankful that they want to be with us, but the past few times we have been gone somewhere they all want to pile in the room with us. Even at the beach the kids had a room downstairs with bunk beds and Emma and Samuel (it is a given that Chloe stays close to me) wanted to sleep on the floor instead of in a bed with cousins. So the past two nights they were fighting over who gets to sleep with me. Emma usually sleeps with my mom when we are here, but she wanted to sleep with me. I finally got Sam and Emma to agree to sleep in the office on the futon but when it was time to go to bed Sam changed his mind and it was a big ordeal. I convinced Emma to sleep with Chloe in the office. My mom heard Chloe at 6:00 telling Emma to wake up. Needless to say, Emma was a GRUMP today and just was plain mean. So after lunch we went back to work and I was going to make a palette in the floor for them to take a nap in my dad's office. A nap on in my dad's office was a frequent thing for us Douglas kids growing up, so it is not as strange as it sounds (well, not to us:). I had them bring their pillows and blankets and they were all going to take a nap! We got back to work and there was a guy there fixing the phones so the nap was not going to be happening in the office. So, in true Douglas form we got three empty boxes and I put them in for a nap right by my machine. At first they kept playing and not going to sleep, so I told them that the first one asleep got to sleep with me tonight. Well, Emma and Sam both fell asleep about the same time so my bed is going to be a little crowded tonight. I was not going to blog tonight but I am secretly hoping they will fall asleep and then I can sleep somewhere else:)

Douglas Net nap time. Don't judge:) When my sanity hinges on them getting a nap, you make it work!



 

This evening we went to see Madagascar 3 in 3D and it was super cute. The kids loved it!

 Oh, hey. Just dropping in to unload the million thoughts going on in my head. I know it's been awhile and once again I am writing this from my phone, so please excuse any mistakes. I am wearing my reading glasses since the last time I posted so maybe writing from my phone won't be as bad as it usually is.   I'm a little bit of a mess these days and I am entering the time of the year that is the hardest on me emotionally,  mentally,  and spiritually. These next few months are filled with dates that broke me. There are dates the next few months that take me back to the darkest days I have experienced.  I enter this fight with the demons that seemed to have attached themselves to me 22 years ago. Praise Jesus, He gave me victory from those demons, but this time of year they like to rear their ugly heads and I struggle.   "I live with a difficult child. That is really hard to write, but the truth is that I have lived with a difficult child for about 14 years. The last few years have been unbearable at times."  I haven't written a post in a long time. The main reason is that I don't have a personal computer (my work computer will not let me log in with my personal email) and I absolutely hate writing from my phone, but here I am needing to write,so I write. When I logged on this evening I found that I had started to write a post on May 23, 2022, but never finished it. We had just come off one of the most difficult years with Chloe. I could be found most nights just crying in my bathroom or screaming, "I can't live in this house with her anymore!" Her treatment towards me had escalated so intensely that I didn't even speak to her for several days and I was a little afraid of her. Wednesday, October 26, 2011- You are cordially invited...to my pity party

Okay. So life has been hard these past few weeks. Well, maybe not life in general, but I have been having a rough time. So, I am choosing to have myself a little pity party. If you would like to join me, keep reading. I do not talk much about my fibromyalgia. One, I do not like to complain and I feel like I am just a big complainer when I do talk about it. Two, the truth is that if you do not have it you cannot fully wrap your mind or sympathy around the pain I feel every day of my life. Over the past two years I really have learned to live with it. My husband and kids would see a glimpse of my pain, but I even tried to hide it from them. I really struggle with letting people know my own hurt and pain. Almost a year ago I was finally diagnosed and was able to get a mild relief from the intense pain.
